The President of Malta, George Vella, and Mrs Miriam Vella left Malta this afternoon for a visit to Germany.
Among his engagements, President Vella will address students and academics at the Humboldt University of Berlin in a lecture titled ‘Reflections on the present world order’ at the invitation of the university authorities.
The President will also have a meeting with Michael Roth, Chairman of the Committee for Foreign Affairs of the German Parliament (Bundestag).
The President and Mrs Vella are expected to be back in Malta on Friday, January 26. Professor Frank Bezzina will serve as Acting President.
