On Friday morning, President George Vella together with his wife Mrs Vella visited the counting process of the money collected during the l-Istrina BOV Piggy Bank Campaign 2023.
This process is taking place at the Bank of Valletta main offices in Santa Venera.
This money was raised by the primary and secondary schools in Malta and Gozo and the total sum raised will be presented to The Malta Community Chest Fund (MCCF) during l-Istrina next Tuesday, 26 December.
In a few words, President George Vella thanked Bank of Valletta for their collaboration and thanked all the MCCF volunteers for dedicating their time to this campaign. He stated that every donation collected makes a difference in the lives of all the people seeking the assistance of The Malta Community Chest Fund and expressed his satisfaction for the contribution made by students, teachers, and even parents in this campaign.
This was the twentieth edition of the l-Istrina BOV Piggy Bank Campaign, during which Mrs Miriam Vella, in the past weeks, visited several schools and encouraged the children to take part in this campaign.
