The President of Malta George Vella and Mrs Vella left Malta this morning for a visit to Belgium.
Among his engagements, President Vella will have an audience with King Philippe of Belgium and a meeting with the President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola.
During this visit, the President will address the students and participants at the European Diplomatic Academy and at the College of Europe in Bruges, and will visit the European school, EEB 1, where he will meet Maltese teachers and students.
The President and Mrs Vella will meet the Maltese community living in Brussels.
Professor Frank Bezzina will serve as Acting President.
The President and Mrs Vella will return to Malta on Thursday, 9 November 2023.
